Reports to: Store Manager

Main purpose of job:

  • Optimise sales opportunities
  • To assist with the effective implementation of all Boux Avenue systems, procedures, policies and regulations
  • To assist customers in their selection of merchandise by offering advice, direction and information relevant to their needs through excellent customer service

Key performance indicators:

  • Level of selling skills, customer service and product knowledge displayed
  • Accuracy of implementation of systems, procedures, policies and regulations
  • The achievement of sales target and store KPI’s

Specific responsibilities and activities:

  1. To complete Company training programmes as required
  2. To convey a professional manner and attitude at all times
  3. To acknowledge and approach customers in a positive, courteous and friendly manner
  4. To represent the brand through the uniform guidelines
  5. Following relevant training, carry out till operating duties as required
  6. Once trained, to wrap customers’ purchases to the company standard
  7. To serve customers enthusiastically, establishing their needs and matching products to those needs through the application of a high level of product knowledge and where necessary to offer alternatives
  8. To recognise, and act upon, opportunities to increase the value of sales by offering appropriate additional items
  9. To assist in ensuring that stock displays are well presented with the appropriate quantity of stock, replenishing from the stockroom as necessary
  10. To acquire a level of product knowledge and continue to develop that knowledge
  11. To assist in ensuring that all areas beyond the sales floor are maintained to a high standard of cleanliness and tidiness
  12. To undertake cleaning and general housekeeping duties to ensure the store is well presented
  13. To tidy and clean stock displays, including fixtures
  14. To assist with the effective implementation of promotions, including point of sale material and stock displays and help ensure all promotions are implemented on time
  15. To ensure that price tickets on display are present and correct
  16. To deal effectively and politely with customers or complaints (in line with company procedures and escalated appropriately)
  17. To deal with telephone calls in a polite and efficient manner
  18. To process stock replenishment and assist with deliveries as required
  19. To be aware of stock issues within the store and to check on stock availability as necessary
  20. To be alert to breaches in store security, notifying management of any such cases in order that corrective action may be taken
  21. To understand fully all Health and Safety regulations and procedures relating to the branch
  22. To adhere to Company health and safety policies and procedures to ensure their own health, safety and welfare and that of all customers, fellow employees and visitors whilst on company premises
  23. To carry out further reasonable tasks as directed by management
  24. Social media  - responsibility/not putting the company name into disrepute
